The city of Perth is 20 miles away and can offer many high street names as well as independent boutiques.

The Scottish Highlands Heritage Region is steeped in history and there is a plethora of castles and sites of historical interest within easy reach of the hotel. - for instance Scone Palace, Blair Atholl Castle, Glamis Castle and even Stirling Castle are either en route or within a 30 minutes to 1 hour drive away.

Fishing
Fishing is a popular sport in the area, The Tay River is world renowned for its first class salmon and trout fishing, but other local rivers like the Gary, The Almond and Tummel are also easily accessible. Golf
For golfers there is an abundance of golf courses in the area with Gleneagles only a 45 minute drive. St Andrews and Carnoustie are also within driving distance for the more fanatic golfers.  Other good quality courses can be found locally in Aberfeldy, Pitlochry, Dunkeld, Perth  Blair Atholl and 2 courses at Murrayshall in Scone - all within a 20 to 30 minute drive. We can organise golfing packages if required.

Outdoor pursuit packages

Situated in the heart of Scotland Ballinluig allows easy access to popular walking, Climbing and cycling areas such as Loch Tay, Tay Forest Park,  Rannoch Moor and the Cairngorm National Park. Adventure sports are currently Scotland's fasted growing summer and winter tourist attraction. Aviemore is approximately 60 miles away for the ski enthusiast. For those thrill seekers we have Nae Limits Activity Centre in Ballinluig who offer a range of water and land based sporting activities and come with glowing recommendations.

As you would only expect there are many distilleries in the area, the closest one being in Pitlochry.
